To support the MVMA booth at Hamvention (#1205), several members went out to Jim Simpson’s Tower (KF8J) in Xenia to add a new antenna pointed at the Fairgrounds. Bill Curtice (WA8APB) did the tower climbing with Tim Procuniar (N8NQH) and Chuck Gelm (NC8Q) working the ground crew. A Mikrotik SXT5 High Power panel was added to the mesh antenna array and aimed at the Fairgrounds. Hopefully, this will provide access to the Miami Valley Microwave network for visitors to Hamvention in May.
